Judge Considers Consolidating TouchPlay Lawsuits
(AP) A Polk County judge is considering whether to consolidate the lawsuits filed by TouchPlay businesses against the state. One lawsuit includes more than 60 businesses and claims the Legislature's abrupt decision to end the TouchPlay game earlier this year cost the industry about $900 million.

Judicial ballot wording upheld
n Proposed amendment would let people sue judges and other government officials.

Merck Wins Reversal Of $51 Million Award
Merck & Co. won the first reversal of a damage award over its Vioxx painkiller yesterday when a judge ruled that a $51 million verdict was "grossly excessive."
