Dana seeks OK for severance pay
Dana Corp. is asking a federal judge for permission to make nearly $6.4 million in severance payments to employees in divisions that the auto-parts supplier plans to sell or close. The request comes as Dana attempts to shed some businesses while operating under bankruptcy protection.

Ex-Democrat chief admits embezzlement
Former Sussex County Democratic Chairman Charles Cart pleaded guilty yesterday in U.S. District Court in Newark to embezzling from a Newton-based union that he founded, authorities said.
